Attendance

Attendance Policy

The Community Agreement signed by all parents/guardians and students states:

“Attendance is directly correlated to the success of students throughout their career, and attendance must be a priority for learning. The Ghazvini Learning Center expects at least an 80% attendance rate to support the recovery and promotion of its students. While students and families who struggle with this expectation and families who communicate barriers to attendance will be supported, failure to meet guidelines or communicate needs may result in the loss of eligibility as a student at Ghazvini Learning Center.”

We understand that unexpected circumstances and barriers to attendance can occur. If your student is going to be absent, please communicate the reason for the absence by sending an email to GLC-Attendance@leonschools.net on the day of the absence.

If you are unable to send an email, please send a written note with your student when they return to school. The note should include the reason for the absence. If the reason given does not meet Leon County Sschools attendance policy guidelines, we may reach out for more information.  Attached above is the Abridged Version of the Leon County Schools attendance policy.

If we do not receive an email or other notification regarding your student's absence on the day they are absent, we will contact you to make you aware that your student is not at school.

Thank you for your help in making attendance a priority and for partnering with us to support your student's success!
